5 Things I Bought and Loved in September
Bread Beauty Supply Scalp-Serum ($28, available at Bread Beauty Supply and Sephora) I’ve been a fan of Bread since their inception, and have their Hair Oil and their Macadamia Hair & Body Oil. When they announced the Scalp Serum, I had to have it. It’s considered a green-juice serum for your scalp, and helps breakup buildup of product while also soothing your scalp. It’s formulated for textured hair, and I love that it has the dropper that I can apply in between my braids. It’s cooling upon application and I have been thoroughly enjoying this one. If you haven’t checked out Bread yet, I highly suggest you do!
H&M Shoulder Bag ($25, available at H&M) I’m a sucker for a trend, sue me. I like the puffer/bubble detailing of this bag and it looks just like one of your luxury favorites. It holds everything that I need on a daily basis and a little bit more. I ordered the light taupe which I feel will be a perfect neutral for fall.
Korres Santorini Grape Velvet Skin Drink ($48, available at Korres, Sephora, and Ulta) This purchase was heavily influenced by a few of my fave influencers: Ebony, Roti, and Jasmine. I had never tried anything by Korres but after using this for a few weeks as the last step in my AM routine (but before SPF), I am pleasantly impressed. I don’t usually use oils in my morning routine, but this is similar to a dry oil, doesn’t leave an oily residue, and absorbs immediately. Plus the packaging is beautiful and looks gorgeous on my bathroom counter 😜.
Papier Planner ($29, available at Papier) This year I actively used my planner for the entire year which hasn’t happened since college. There’s something about putting pen to paper that just makes me feel more organized (even though I have to have a digital backup of all of my tasks and events too). I usually pick up a planner from Target, but they never have all of the categories that I need. Enter Papier — which I was previously familiar with but never ordered from, and then Wendy inspired me to take the plunge and order. This one is 16 weeks and aimed at productivity. It has a weekly overview, a priorities list, a habit tracker, a weekly meal planner, and more. The quality is impeccable, and even though I won’t start writing in it until January I’m excited to.
Papier Pen ($15, available at Papier) Another Papier purchase, because it was on sale when I ordered a planner lol. I’m kind of a pen snob, to the point where I’ll only buy pens by a specific brand whenever I run out. I was going out on a limb here with trying this one, but it doesn’t disappoint. It’s weighty and writes very smoothly. I’m curious to see how it writes on the Papier paper.
