5 Things I Bought and Loved in June
Trendy Black Heels ($36, available at Miss Lola) What I noticed when doing my spring cleaning earlier this year is I didn’t have a pair of plain black heels in my closet. A cardinal sin, if you ask me. I had ordered from Miss Lola for the first time back in April/May (clothes and shoes), and I love the quality of their products. They also seem to always have a sale going on, and their aesthetic aligns with mine, so their marketing WORKS on me. These have the really cute stitch/chevron pattern and also a square toe which seems to be in style right now. I wore them for dinner about a week ago and they’re so comfortable and easy to walk in. 10/10 would recommend!
Flip Top Glass Water Bottles ($34 for 6, available on Amazon) Supergoop! gifted me a bottle like this sometime last year and I had been using it nonstop as one of my everyday water bottles. I left it on a chair one morning recently, and Noelle accidentally tipped it over, and it shattered everywhere. I wanted to replace it, and Prime Day was coming up, so I did a quick search. They were about $8 cheaper on Prime Day, but I still think the price point is reasonable. I just think they look super chic, so I’m happy I have a few now for when another one inevitably breaks.
Obsessed: Building a Brand People Love from Day One by Emily Heyward ($17, available on Amazon) Entrepreneurship doesn’t ever end. I’m always trying to find ways to learn more about how to build my brands, and this book caught my eye. I bought it and finished it within a week; it’s clear, concise, and incredibly interesting how it incorporates real case studies of successful brands. I would highly recommend for those who want to learn more about brand-building.
Refy Gloss Highlighter ($26, available at Refy Beauty) If there’s one thing you need to know about me, is that I love a highlighter. Cream, powder, it doesn’t matter the texture, I am definitely down to try it. Refy had not been on my radar until one day I was scrolling IG and one of their ads caught my eye. From then, I saw Refy e-ve-ry-where. I saw an ad of a model using their Summer Skin collection, and off the bat I knew I had to have the highlighter. First and foremost, the formula is absolutely stunning. It dispenses as a topaz color and then once you apply it turns into a balmy, clear sheen. It reminds me most of Kevyn Aucoin’s Glass Glow formula. Tap here to watch a reel of me applying!
Summer Fridays Morning Minis Set ($42, available at Summer Fridays or Sephora) I don’t know about you but I’m a sucker for a mini. I wish this set came out a little earlier in the year because it’s perfect for travel, and I use CC Me and Cloud Dew so much already. I wanted to try the new Super Amino Gel Cleanser, which: spoiler alert, is amazing. It also comes with this cute mesh bag which I automatically put in my purse with all of my everyday beauty. Definitely worth picking up if you love Summer Fridays!
