SKINCARE

Cay Skin Isle Lip Balm with SPF 30 in Nude Ting ($15) So I’m cheating a little bit—this shade is actually in my cart right now and I haven’t tried it BUT I absolutely love this formula, and have been through multiple tubes of it. It’s glossy but not sticky, plus has SPF, which is a must for me in Miami. This shade is sure to be a love.

Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Mattifying Water Powder Serum (1.01 oz for $36) I wrote about this in my latest post in my 5 Things I Bought & Loved series. Danessa is one of the most innovative artists in the industry right now and I’m SO glad she’s getting her flowers. She has always been tuned into how to prep skin—ALL skin—and this product is no different. As I get older, my skin is transforming from oily to combo, so I’ve been using this product only in my t-zone. It feels so cooling on the skin when you apply it, and instantly goes from water to powder. Makeup sits beautifully on top and does not budge. I could rave about this product forever, but bottom line is if you have oily skin, you’ll enjoy this tremendously.

The Inkey List Bio-Active Ceramide Moisturizer (1.7 oz for $20) I went to the Miami event that the Inkey List held for the launch of this moisturizer so I got to hear directly from the founders about how this magical moisturizer was created! The texture is like velvet, but it’s slightly heavier than usual moisturizers that I reach for, especially as it gets warmer down here. But if you have dry skin or need a little more hydration and nourishment (I used this every single day when I was in Montana and I know it saved my skin from being dry and cakey). It doesn’t hurt that the price point is amazing, and it truly feels and performs like a high-end moisturizer.

Topicals Slick Salve Glossy Lip Balm (0.5 oz for $16) I don’t care what anybody says, Topicals did their big one with this lip balm. It’s the perfect amount of glossy + nourishing, and lasts a lot longer than a lot of my other favorite lip balms. It’s got a slight minty scent which I absolutely love. A little goes such a long way, so you don’t have to overdo it. I even use it overnight as a lip mask and I wake up with smooth, supple lips.

MAKEUP

Ami Colē Skin Enhancing Stick (0.28 oz for $29) It’s no secret that AMI COLÉ doesn’t miss for me, and this launch is no different. The shade match for me is unmaaaatched. The coverage is medium which is perfect for someone like me with hyperpigmentation, but the finish is the epitome of your skin but better. It’s so lightweight and buttery in texture, blends like a dream. You’ll enjoy this if you don’t like the feel of makeup on your skin.

Armani Luminous Silk Concealer (0.4 oz for $42) I don’t love undereye concealer, and don’t usually wear it unless I’m doing a full face or I haven’t had much sleep. This concealer on top of this eye cream has been my secret weapon. I won’t deny that it’s pricey which is why if you’re considering trying it, you should definitely take advantage of the sale. It’s a medium coverage concealer with a radiant finish and I’ve had very little issue with creasing as long as I set with my One/Size powder. I use shade 7.5 for reference!

Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder Flush in It Girl (0.2 oz for $25) If you buy anything on my list, make sure it’s this. This formula is so SO nice. It starts as a cream and sets down matte and does not BUDGE for the entire day. I’ve had this on for 12 hours and it looked as if I had just applied it. It Girl is the perfect pink for all skin tones and is the perfect shade for spring into summer. I love creating an ombre effect with this shade + Dancing Queen.

Hourglass Shape & Sculpt Lip Liner ($29) I don’t often spend this much money on lip liners because brands like NYX have never steered me wrong, but I was influenced by another creator. It’s extremely creamy and easy to smudge and look more natural. It also lasts longer than I had anticipated which is a win. Candid is a gorgeous brown that I love to pair with a clear gloss and call it a day.

Merit Signature Matte Lipstick in Maison (0.1 oz for $26) Merit actually makes my favorite lipstick formula with their Signature Lipsticks. The matte formula is surprisingly comfortable on the lips. As with most matte lips, I exfoliate my lips before applying. Maison is described as a mauve, but it pulls a little more pink for me. Paired with a brown lip liner, though, it’s become one of my favorite lip combos. I tried on a Maison and a couple other shades in this reel.

Refy Lash Sculpt Lengthen & Lift Mascara (0.3 oz for $26) I bought this because I was intrigued by the curved applicator. It’s a great everyday mascara for me; it hugs really tight to my lash line and grabs every individual lash for a lifted effect. I haven’t experienced any lumps or clumping, and it lasts all day. I personally love pairing this with the Fenty Hella Thicc for a more dramatic lash effect. I could see how this curved comb applicator would maybe not work on those with straight lashes. I tried on here if you want to see how it applies on me!

BODY CARE & MISCELLANEOUS

Luna Daily The Hydrating Everywhere Spray-to-Wipe Mini (1 oz for $12) As a gym girlie who doesn’t want to shower at the gym lol this has been a nice way to freshen up before a full shower. it’s incredibly compact, and there are three types: sensitive skin, unscented, and lightly scented. You can spray it directly on your body or use a tissue to use as a wipe. I’ll be restocking on mini sizes to keep with me!

Oui the People Featherweight Hydrating Gloss (3.3 oz for $65) I first tried this product during COVID, and I’ve been in love with the brand ever since. This is an oil that feels more like a serum as it absorbs in your skin. You can choose from the signature Orange Blossom scent, an unscented version, or the newest Cedarwood scent. It’s pricey, but so worth the coin in my opinion. Support a Black-owned brand!

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Tiger Lily Eau De Parfum (1.7 oz for $145) I actually hate the original Flowerbomb 😂 so I don’t think this scent would have even been on my radar if I didn’t attend the launch event in Miami. But it’s way more fruit forward, with coconut milk, mango, and tiger lily rounding out the scent profile. I didn’t realize I was a tropical-scent loving girl until I enjoyed how much this wears on my skin throughout the day.
