Hydration Favorites That You Need ❄️💧
Is it just me or are moisturizers having a moment rn? Since we are in the midst of winter, it makes perfect sense. Granted, I’m lucky that it doesn’t get that cold down here, but we have our chilly days, okay!? Ya girl will also be on the slopes in a couple of weeks, so I’m packing all of the moisture and hydration. As you might know, I have oily/combo skin, so I tend to shy away from thicker moisturizers. There are a few, however, that I’ve tried that are perfect for all skin types. Keep reading for a round-up of some of my favorites ⬇️.
Beautystat Universal Pro-Bio Moisture Boost Cream* (1 oz for $50, available at Beautystat, Ulta, Dermstore, and Amazon) If I had unlimited $$$, I would have this moisturizer in stock with backups at all times. It is described as a “light as air, gel cream hybrid texture” which is spot on. It has a velvety consistency and it sinks into your skin so smoothly. It’s like a thousand baby angels and clouds have landed on your face. It keeps my skin hydrated for the entire day which is hard to say about a lot of products on the market. It’s ingredients include hyaluronic acid to lock moisture in, reishi mushroom extract to soothe skin, reduce inflammation, and protect against environmental stressors, and ceramides to strengthen your skin’s moisture barrier. So basically all of the good stuff, none of the bs. If you have the option to purchase this moisturizer, I highly highly highly recommend you try it at least once. I guarantee you’re going to want to repurchase it.
Innbeauty Project 10+10 Daily Moisturizer* (1.7 oz for $34, available at Innbeauty Project and Sephora) I received this product in PR, thankfully because I probably would have purchased it myself after seeing all the glowing reviews. This velvety cream moisturizer is packed with all of the nutrient goodness like ceramides, squalane, vitamin c, and peptides. It’s lightweight enough to use in the morning and nourishing enough to use at night. It’s fragrance free, and the price point is decent enough for me to qualify a repurchase. I’ve only been using it for about a week and a half now, so I can’t speak to it evening skin tone yet. Will keep you posted!
Laneige Hypoallergenic Cica Sleeping Mask (2 oz for $34, available at Sephora) I have consistently purchased one tub of this product every fall/winter for the past 3 years. It’s considered an overnight mask, but I tend to use it as a moisturizer and mix it with a few drops of oil for the ultimate hydration routine before bed. The consistency is so luxe, and it’s perfect for those days when I over exfoliate because it instantly calms and soothes my skin. I would highly recommend you try if you have sensitive or inflamed skin due to breakouts.
Skinglass Moisturizer (2 oz for $42, available at Skinglass Beauty) I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but anything Noor touches is gold. Her moisturizer has a formula that includes oils that give your skin allllll of the nourishment—like, jojoba, aloe, rosehip, avocado, and so much more. This is perfect for both day and night, and if you have oily skin like me, your skin will loveeee this product. It’s the absolute perfect base for makeup, and when you top it with the Skinglass Highlighting Oils??! Baybeeee it’s game over!
Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask (2 oz for $48, available at Sephora and Youth to the People) The entire Dream line at YTTP is a hit for me—and this was the very first product I tried when it launched a few years back. This is also considered an overnight mask, so I use it as the last step in my nighttime routine. It’s ingredients include vitamin c, squalane and hyaluronic acid, and an antioxidant rich blend of superberries to combat free radicals. I was a little worried the first time I tried it because it has a very potent fragrance, but thankfully it has never aggravated my skin. I wake up with soft skin and a subtle glow whenever I use this. It’s the thickest product on this round up of moisturizers, so a little bit goes a long way.
And that’s it! DM me and let me know what your favorite winter moisture products are.
