Sephora Sale Recs - Fall/Winter 2024
You know the drill — This post is a guide for those who are looking to shop the sale and don’t know whether or not to buy a product that I’ve been able to try. Hopefully it helps! I’ve added all products to my ShopMy Shelf here. If you’re interested in the holiday sets I think are worth your coin this year, I’ve listed all my favorites here.
As always, I’m linking my Sephora Sale Picks from the Spring Sale here — in this post I’m going to focus on new (and new to me) products that weren’t previously mentioned in a sale post. All links are affiliate, and if you choose to use them, I am forever grateful to you!
Happy shopping!

SKINCARE
Innisfree Daily UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 36 (1.69 oz for $18)* I can’t believe it took me this long to try this viral SPF. It’s lightweight and not greasy, and of course, no white cast. It wears really well under makeup. I think it’s probably one of the cheaper SPFs you’ll find at Sephora which is nice.
Kiehl’s Better Screen UV Serum SPF 50+ (1.7 oz for $43)* Thisssss sunscreen absolutely blows me away every time I apply it. It’s also lightweight, blends in so beautifully with no white cast, and makes my skin look lit from within immediately. I received this in PR but will 1000% be repurchasing during the sale.
Merit Great Skin Priming and Firming Moisturizer (1.69 oz for $38) Merit products are usually a hit or miss for me, and as much as I tried I couldn’t get Great Skin Oil to work for me at all. But—I am pleasantly surprised with this one. It’s a lightweight cream that can be used as a moisturizer/makeup primer in one. It’s incredibly nourishing, and has ingredients like oat extract, and hyaluronic acid to soothe and hydrate skin throughout the day. I like to apply this on top of sunscreen after it dries down and before I apply makeup. You could definitely use this as a moisturizing step in place of your moisturizer as well. You can watch me apply it here!
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mist (1.7 oz for $21) I’ve always been a skincare maximalist, which has always included essences, hydrating toners, and mists. When SF announced this launch I knew it was a must have. The mist is so fine (see here!) and applies lasting hydration for when you need it. Plus the bottle is the perfect size for travel or to throw in your purse. I used it a ton on my recent trip to SF, and will definitely be repurchasing.
The Inkey List Hydrocolloid Patches ($9) I’m a pimple patch snob, and lot of the patches on the market will tell you that they’re invisible, but these are actually invisible. Plus they have salicylic acid in them to reduce breakouts fast. I do wish that more patches came in the pack, but do like that there are two sizes available in each box.
Youth to the People Superfood Skin Drip Serum (1 oz for $39) Youth to the People is at it again with this serum that immediately brightens and protects your skin barrier in a single use. It’s a lightweight milky serum that I like to use in the morning for that glow. It has the same green juice scent as their Superfood cleanser that I loooove.
MAKEUP
Ami Colē Soft Shape Waterproof Lip Liner ($18) AMI COLÉ said we’re gonna give you a bomb lip liner and delivered. It comes in 5 shades for a multitude of skin tones, but my favorites have to be Cafe Touba (a hickory brown) and Midnight (a rich chocolate). They’re incredibly pigmented and long lasting. Plus they pair sooo well with their Lip Treatment Oils. You can see me applying both shades of liners here.
Fenty Beauty Soft’Lit Naturally Luminous Hydrating Longwear Foundation (1.08 oz for $40) The Pro’Filtr Matte Foundation was my go-to for sooo many years, but my skin has definitely changed in the past few years. So when I was sent the new Soft’Lit Luminous foundation I didn’t expect to love it more than the OG formula, but it’s literally been the only foundation I reach for (when I wear foundation). The shade match for me is insanity, and the finish is natural with a slightly luminous finish that’s not dewy. See it in action here.
Make Up Forever HD Skin Face Essentials Palette ($88) She’s obviously very pricey but soooo worth the money in my opinion. You can literally create a full face with one palette, which I feel is unheard of. I usually always have on me for a quick touch up when I need it. I’m eyeing the new blush and glow palette that they just released for the holidays.
One/Size Ultimate Blurring Setting Powder (1.2 oz for $34)* One/Size does primers and setters RIGHT, and although this is not a new product, they expanded their shade range at the beginning of this year. I had been using Ultra Pink and Dark/Deep religiously, but then they dropped Sweet Honey, and I’ve been using it nonstop. I haven’t met a powder that blurs better than this one in such a long time, and they’re the only ones that I’ve been reaching for as of late.
One/Size On Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray (3.4 oz for $32)* Also not a new product, but I don’t apply makeup for date night or a night out without sealing everything in with this spray. Make sure your eyes and lips are closed TIGHT or you will be in a guaranteed coughing fit. But this ish works—my makeup doesn’t budge for hours on hours on hours.
Refy Blur and Hydrate Oil-Control Face Primer (1.4 oz for $34) I vacillate back and forth between whether or not I need a primer but I do enjoy trying them out. I enjoy the original Refy primer, but this one seemed more my speed for my skin type. I tried the texture in Sephora and it was the perfect amount of hydrating and velvety. I’ve been very impressed with how my makeup performs after using it, both for a full face or just an everyday skin tint.
BODY CARE & MISCELLANEOUS
hanni the Fatty Fatty Acid Moisture Stick for Moisture Barrier (2.5 oz for $28) hanni sent this over to me in PR, and it’s been a game changer. I personally think that everyone should have a moisture stick on them at all times, because it comes in handy more than you think. I like to use it on my cuticles, hands, and elbows or anywhere I might need a little more moisture. I use it most on my daughter when she decidedly leaves the house with no lotion (😂). It’s small enough that I throw it in my purse, is unscented, and keeps our skin feeling soft and nourished.
Josie Maran Vanilla Bean Whipped Argan Oil Refillable Firming Body Butter Jar (6 oz for $36)* I’ve been obsessed with the whipped body moisturizer formula—it’s lightweight, sinks into the skin quickly, and the scents are delectable. If you’re a vanilla girlie like me, Vanilla Bean is the more subtle, more mature version of your typical vanilla gourmand (i.e. this formula in Vanilla Vibezzz). It’s the perfect base layer for the rest of my vanilla perfumes.
L’Occitane Nourishing and Protective Shea Butter Hand Cream (5.2 oz for $30)* During Covid, I became a bonafide hand cream girl. Probably due to using all the drying hand sanitizers. BUT it’s really hard to find a hand cream that’s rich and nourishing, doesn’t leave my hands feeling greasy, doesn’t have an overpowering scent, etc. The minute I tried this hand cream, I knew why it’s considered a cult classic. It checks all the boxes for me, and then some. It’s one of my favorite holiday gifting ideas too.
NEST New York Madagascar Vanilla Body Mist (4.2 oz for $39) The Madagascar Vanilla Perfume Oil is one of my favorite vanilla scents of all time. I can attest that $39 for a body mist is definitely steep, but something about wearing the perfume oil + the body mist together makes for a beautifully long-lasting vanilla scent that just works for me.
